THE SEA OF CORTEZ

We will be located at 'Las Animas Eco Wilderness Lodge' a truly wild center of exploration on the sea of cortez, halfway down the Baja Peninsula of Mexico, in a World Heritage Site. Wild places like this on planet earth are hard to access, and we have the infrastructure and skills to get you there and back. Jacques Cousteau refers to the Sea of Cortez as the 'Aquarium of the world'. You will have your own private yurt on a pristine and untouched beach, access to hundreds of acres of wilderness, and all the tools needed for exploration. This wilderness preserve is considered to be a “night sky sanctuary” with unobstructed viewing of the cosmos.
what you will receive
- Opportunities to swim with whale sharks: We will embark on a daily boat excursion from our lodge oasis to swim with the gentle giants of the ocean. Whale sharks are not actually a shark or whale, they are the worlds largest fish and this is a completely safe bucket list experience.
- A week stay in a luxury yurt: Our retreat center is unlike any other eco lodge. You will have a luxury yurt on a private beach. Everything you need, and nothing that you dont. This is an opportunity to fall asleep with the sound of the sea, wake up with the sun, and reset your circadian rhythm.
- Three delicous meals a day and a "catch of the day" happy hour: Our local mexican staff, more like family, will prepare all of our meals that we share together as a group. We will be eating seafood that we catch every day. This is sea to table dining that you cannot get anywhere else. we will also teach you how to process your own fish if you are interested in learning those skills.
- Daily guided adventures: There are more amazing adventures to be had from our lodge than one could even do in a week. Alongside our whale shark excursions we will engage in activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, fishing, island exploration, and so much more. Unlimited raw and real adventure from the comfort of our lodge.
- Daily ritual space: Passage is about more than just the external journey, as we create daily experiences to attune to our own internal journeys in a group setting. This is where the transformation and magic has its place to integrate deeper into your being.
- Unplugging from modern life: Outside of all the amazing elements to expect from a Passage experience, our guests often describe that the most powerful part was the opportunity to just "be" without all of the distractions of modern life. When was the last time you unplugged from your screens for more than a day, and felt time slip away?
